John Johnston has established himself as a goal-oriented and self-driven professional with vast experience leading and directing effective relationships and cooperation between government agencies and communities to influence programs and attain desired objectives. He has a proven track record in conducting and reviewing operational benchmarks and performance metrics, conducting process evaluations to improve efficiency, and automating and reengineering business processes. John’s effective collaboration skills have helped him to work within cross-functional teams, always helping streamline business goals with organizational mission and objectives while focusing on meeting the needs of external and internal stakeholders. John has been long invested in parks across the City of New York and is actively involved in other non-profits such as the King Highway Beautification Association.
John has over 20 years of experience working, supervising, and training volunteers on non-profit and community organizing levels. He has consulted for many campaigns including Bloomberg for Mayor, Golden for Staten Senate, Cranston for City Council, Gracia for Mayor, Bloomberg for President, Mullins for Mayor… Chow for City Council. He works across party lines
A holder of a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning from Hunter College, New York, a Master of Arts in Political Science from Brooklyn College, New York, and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Government from Skidmore College, Saratoga, New York, John has immense knowledge and skills that he uses to offer excellent services to the people
